I'm always asking people if they had the pleasure of visiting The National Arboretum . Most of the time I'm met with looks of bewildrement which is tragic becuase it's such a treasure! Situated on 446 acres between New York Avenue and Bladensburg road, The Arboretum is open to the public everyday except 12/25 from 8 to 5 with workshops, guided tours and gardening classes held daily. Click HERE for the schedule of events. Feel free to drive, walk or ride past the bonsai museum and classrooms and lose yourself in the beauty of the vast collections of global plant life. I like to sit under the firs.
